Abstract

The subject of the analyzes was adaptation strategies and spaces of unobvious learning of people aged 60-79 in pandemic conditions. The study aimed to present individual resistance strategies. In the non-directive interviews, attention was paid to the changes taking place in everyday life, in relations with family members and the local community, to the changes that took place in the public space, selected emotions important for the interlocutors and aspects of their intellectual, cultural and social activity. Social isolation triggered various reactions of the elderly, from an accepting attitude - “nothing has changed, and it is even better,” through an attitude of rebellion - “I have had enough of this,” to fatalism mixed with panic - “we will all die.” In the context of the mainstream of considerations, the resignation strategies and grassroots initiatives, and social actions are undertaken to strengthen the sense of security of the elderly were presented.
