Abstract

Our work provides an overview of some of the problems and absences experienced by older people in their lives. For several decades we have worked in the Association of Los Mayores Valores on Tenerife's island in different inclusion programs with older people. We have checked their basic needs and organized assistance and collaboration activities with youth groups and the link with education at their different educational levels. The improvement in care indicates that we must continue to work along these lines and in the greater need for institutional support, with differential attention to men and women.
