Abstract

In autumn 2021, the "21 People for the 21st Century" plebiscite was organized by Flexi.pl - a private limited company. This article aims to assess the diagnostic value of the assessments in this plebiscite and the psychological and social determinants of the reliability, validity, and objectivity of the assessments issued by the jury members. Based on the action research, a demographic-professional data analysis was performed. In the discussion of the results, attention was drawn to the mechanism of self-deception and proposals regarding activation and activity in late adulthood, which primarily focuses on entertainment and recreational offers, relating these issues to the exodus of war refugees, the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, rapidly rising energy prices and maintenance costs, inflation, and the real threat of recession.
