Model Apartment For Seniors or what is available for poles in their old age – the cost analysis

Abstract
The paper presents the experiences gained based on the project „at home despite the age,” the purpose of creating the first Model Apartment for Seniors (www.mimowieku.pl). The Model Apartment for Seniors is a dwelling space with solutions, products, and technologies enabling older people to keep an independent lifestyle as long as possible despite some disabilities which may emerge with age. The idea originated in Germany, a country with a much greater senior population than Poland. In Germany, solutions to support the independence of senior citizens are widely implemented. One of them is ideal apartments that promote the solutions and products available on the market among seniors and their caregivers and support the silver economy.
