Fears of people in the late phase of adulthood in perspective of geragogy

Abstract
The paper contains content relating to the fears, which are going through older people, their sources and effects, as well as the possibility of dealing with fears. The whole text is based on an analysis of the literature of the subject and the results of empirical research carried out among seniors, who live in Olsztyn. In summary, presented in the article content, it can be concluded that the fears going through every person. Persons who are in the period of old age may have severe, however, some of the fears. Fears of Polish seniors relate primarily to their health, the lack of mon- ey for treatment and the fear of loneliness. If Polish seniors suffer from severe anxiety, as a rule, are turning for help to the members of his family and the support they receive. Some elderly people have developed their own strategies for coping with fears, for example, addressing the things give pleasure as doing knitting, solve the crossword, meet with friends or watching television and listening to the radio. In the light of empirical research carried out, it can be concluded that the situation of emotional polish seniors is not optimal, and therefore the article presents optimization demands on this issue.
