Fear of life or fear of death? Existential dilemmas in the face of old age

Abstract

In this article author presents the issues of existential dilemmas of people in the face of impending old age. The main question relates to the issue: Do people feel more fear of life in old age (and associated inconvenience and suffering) or more afraid of the inevitability of death and dying?

At the outset, the article made a brief characterization of the period of old age, and then pre- sents the necessary information about anxiety and its role in human life. In the following section describes the causes of human fear of the approaching old age, as well as awareness, attitudes and fears of old people in the face of death.
