DIGITAL RISKS FOR CHILDREN AND ADOLESCENTS IN POLAND IN 2024 IN LIGHT OF THE 4 CS FRAMEWORK
AN ANALYSIS OF NATIONAL REPORTS
Abstrakt
The article analyses nationwide research from 2024 on the risks to which children
and young people are exposed in the digital environment, using the 4C model.
The study is based on reports entitled Teenagers, Internet children, and data from
Dyżurnet.pl and the Office of the Ombudsman for Children’s Rights. The results indicate
that the 4C model can be used to classify threats and their nature, but it is difficult
to create a matrix combining both approaches. The most common threats are
harmful content, cyberbullying, and sexual threats, while there is a lack of data on
commercial and contractual threats. The author emphasizes the need for in-depth
research on child profiling, aggressive marketing, gambling mechanisms, as well
as radicalization and more in-depth analysis of the risks associated with artificial
intelligence.
