THE APPLICATION OF BIOMETRIC METHODS IN PERSONAL IDENTIFICATION
Abstrakt
Biometrics, a technique for identifying individuals based on their unique physical
and behavioral characteristics, is finding growing use in a variety of fields, notably
security systems. This article examines a variety of biometric approaches used
in identification procedures, including fingerprint analysis, facial recognition, iris
scanning, retina scanning, and voice and handwriting recognition. The operating
principles and practical uses of these technologies, such as access control systems,
border security, public monitoring, and law enforcement, are discussed. The study
evaluates the performance of distinct biometric approaches, as well as their advantages
and limits in identity verification. It also covers the difficulties in maintaining
biometric databases and how they affect the accuracy and reliability of identification
operations. Biometrics, owing to its precision and speed, is recognized as a vital instrument
in crime prevention and national security. The study concludes by reflecting
on the future of biometrics, the advancement of identifying technologies, and the
issues that may arise when biometrics are increasingly implemented in international
security systems and identity management.
