Focus and scope

Forum Scientiae Oeconomia (e-ISSN 2353-4435) is an international scholarly platform for the publication and discussion of research devoted to the development of economic systems and organisations under contemporary transformations. FSO aims to stimulate rigorous academic debate and to disseminate research findings of relevance to the academic community, public authorities, business practitioners, and other stakeholders engaged in socio-economic development processes.

FSO adopts an interdisciplinary approach aligned with international academic standards, within which economics and management are treated as complementary fields shaping the efficiency, sustainability, and competitiveness of economies and organisations. Contributions in management are welcomed insofar as they enhance understanding of economic outcomes, governance mechanisms, strategic decision-making processes, and value creation.

FSO publishes double-blind peer-reviewed contributions, including empirical research articles, conceptual and theoretical papers, methodological studies, systematic literature reviews, as well as analytically grounded thematic and applied studies.

The conceptual focus of FSO centres on the analysis of contemporary economic and managerial challenges related to digitalisation, sustainable development, and the optimisation of socio-economic processes under conditions of non-linear dynamics and exponential growth. Particular attention is devoted to investigating mechanisms that enhance efficiency, adaptability, and resilience of economic systems and organisations through the integration of approaches from economics, management, finance, econometrics, and related disciplines. Interdisciplinary studies that reflect current scholarly debates and provide a holistic perspective on complex, multi-level economic and managerial processes are especially encouraged.

This conceptual framework defines the thematic profile of FSO and underpins its classification within the subject areas registered in the Scopus database, including economics, econometrics and finance; business, management and accounting (notably international business, strategy, and marketing); social sciences encompassing legal, institutional, and cultural dimensions; applied and theoretical mathematics; as well as interdisciplinary research situated at the intersection of these domains.
