Abstract

Leisure has always been, is and will be an essential asset to every human being to function properly. Ability wise time management is a virtue that can be learned. Such techniques as: S.M.A.R.T method, Eisenhower Matrix, the Pareto Principle or ABC analysis make it possible to influence the amount of our time. It is important to deciding on any of the techniques consistently pursue its stated purpose. Therefore, it is important to “take care” of our free time. The goal of the paper is to present the most important time management methods and to show the most common mistakes so that presented knowledge could help living in an optimal way also by increasing the space for our leisure time. The article presents also test results on the demand of free time services among the residents of Bielsko-Biala and to offer quality leisure time for the citizens. The research method was a survey carried out among the inhabitants of Bielsko-Biala and the surrounding area. The study, which is a pilot one, was conducted among 120 respondents and may become the basis for formulating clear conclusions and may allow to make decisions based on them.
