University gerontological education in the field of pedagogy

Abstract
The article presents the results of the diagnosis of gerontological education at the academic level, implemented in Polish universities, in pedagogy. The study was carried out on the recommendation of the Section of Gerontology of the Committee for Pedagogical Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences and aims to show the state of gerontological education, its organizational and methodical forms, and content range. The research includes the educational offer of 25 universities providing education in the discipline of pedagogy. In pedagogy, the forms of gerontological education implemented in 2019/20-2020/21 in Polish universities were considered. The diagnosis showed that in 15 of them, gerontological education is offered within various specialties, faculties, or specialization paths.
